WHAT IS COMMUNICATION?

Communication is an indispensable skill to become a successful in the 21st century. There are basically four essential skills in communication which are listening, speaking, reading and writing.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNICATION?

We communicate to get a message across clearly and unambiguously. Effective communication occurs when the sender (encoder) and the receiver (decoder) understand the same information.

For purposeful learning to take place, it is important that a person display good and effective communication skills.

Communication skills are important and need to be learnt and practised so that they can be used correctly and appropriately in different learning situations.
